HERE WE GO!

This is my first of many posts to come during my year in Belfast. It is not long before I leave for Belfast... I am so excited I cant even stand it. What now is so foreign to me will soon be my reality. How many people can say that? (ok, so a fair amount, but its still exciting). im beginning to pack and try to get things together (grad school applications, banking, uk traveling eww). I hope to see or speak to most of you before I leave.

I leave for Chicago for an 8 day orientation on the 20th. Lauren, Alison, and I will all fly to Belfast together on the 28th, leaving the states at 9:28 on a United flight to London. We will eventually arrive at Belfast City Airport at 2:40 on the 29th. Doug, our site coordinator will meet us at the airport, and from there, the adventure begins.

First and foremost, here is my address in Belfast:

I think everyone knows how wonderful snail mail is. There is just something about walking to the mailbox to find something waiting, other than just bills. I have a pretty extensive card box, so you can fully expect surprises in your mailbox as well. I will have internet in my house, but am not sure how often I will be on say instant messanger. Although I am sure I will check email and facebook (I know, shame shame) frequently. My family and I have set up Skype accounts for free phone calls. If you are interested, just check out skype.com. You can talk to anyone in the world for free. Useful for my year and maybe others in your life and future. Skype phone calls are more than welcome : ) My skype name is Hunterlibby

I have set up this blog in hopes of limiting the mass emails I send out. I can set it up to email the post to you individually each time I post. If you would like me to do this, leave me a comment on any blog post and I will add you to the list.

I hope this year brings you joy and many blessings! I know there are babies coming (!!), college graduations, new jobs, and small every day joys among you. I hope you savor them and share in them with those around you and far away. Please share this blog with others who might be moved by the words or photos found here; they do not need to know me personally.

i miss most of you already and think of others often.
